I currently live in a 1-bedroom apartment in the center of Richardson, Texas. The unit is located within a very large building block and in this article, I am going to talk about some of the advantages of living in such a property. To begin with, the best thing about living such a large building is that the security is very high. The entrance is always well lite and is staffed by receptionists and security guards at all times. As a young woman living alone, this extra security really helps me to feel safe in my apartment.
Another feature of the Richardson apartment block that I really like is having access to communal areas. For a small monthly maintenance fee, I am free to use the communal indoor swimming pool, gym, sunbeds, sauna and outdoor rooftop garden. The garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine when I am not a work because hardly anyone else in the building uses the facility.
The building my apartment is in has underground parking facilities and I currently rent two spaces in the lot. Since I live on the top floor, I am very glad that the building is fitted with several state-of-the-art elevators, so I never need to walk up hundreds of stairs to get to my apartment. What’s more, the elevators are fitted with CCTV cameras and have never broken down in the whole five years I have been living here.
The only thing I don’t like about living in an apartment is that I am not allowed to keep any pets. Before I moved here, I had two cats and I had to give them to my parents to look after because the tenancy agreement forbids any type of pets.
